Born into the world of martial arts, Sensei John has dedicated himself to the art from the age of three. Training under his father Master John Laracuente, he earned his black belt and is now a third degree black belt in Korean Karate. After many years of hard training and dedication, he has aquired a unique outlook and dedication to the world of martial arts more than others his age. Sensei John has vast experience running martial arts programs in both a private and public school setting. Sensei John enjoys working with kids and hopes to challenge and inspire his students to share the same passion for the art as he does.
Sensei Alan Romero has been Studying Martial Arts for 37 years since he became fascinated with the philosophy, discipline and positive message “Martial Way” he holds black belts in Goju-Ryu and American Kenpo. In 2008 he was inducted into the World Professional Black Belt Hall of Fame. Sensei Alan specialty is weapons work and his interest derives from their use as “equalizers” “Attackers are often stronger than their victims or multiple in numbers; weapons even the playing field.”
Sensei Javier is a well-trained martial artist who has spent over ten years honing his skills at Johnny Karate. He has participated in various competitions in disciplines such as Muay Thai, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, and karate, indicating his exceptional athletic abilities and diligent training regimen. His ultimate goal is to take his passion formartial arts to the next level and become a professional athlete. With such dedication and experience, Sensei Javier’s journey as a professional fighter looks promising.
Jemssix Ayala began his Jiu Jitsu journey in Miami training under Roberto “Cyborg” Abreau in 2007. As a lifetime athlete and martial arts enthusiast, he quickly immersed himself in training and competing.
Upon moving to NYC in 2011 he resumed his training under Vitor “Shaolin ” Ribero where he gained a passion for teaching as well. Starting in inner city social projects, donation based academies ,as well as boutique studios, networking was all but too easy. Thats how he discovered Johnny karates and came back to Brooklyn to lead their brazilian Jiu Jitsu program.
Hazel began karate when she was just three years old. Her commitment and hard work earned her a black belt at age 11. Hazel has competed in weapons Kara and sparring division on the local ,national and , international level. Hazel earned a silver medal as a member of Team USA at the WKC worlds competition in Dublin, Ireland.She continues to dedicate herself to Martial Arts as an instructor, student , and a commentator
Christian is a remarkable martial artist who began his training in Tang Soo Do Karate at the tender age of three. He displayed an extraordinary level of commitment and dedication to his craft, earning his 4th degree black belt by the time he was just 18 years old. After this incredible accomplishment, he went on to become a two-time NAFMA Point Fighting World Champion, which truly solidified his exceptional talents.
Christian decided to challenge himself by transitioning to the full contact arena. He relocated to New York City shortly after and eventually found his true calling in Muay Thai with the guidance and support of AFL Promotions.
